On 13 September the second Runway Run took place on the runway of Langenthal-Bleienbach airfield – a special evening for the 112 runners and the many visitors.

The supporting programme left nothing to be desired: guests could meet pilots and crew, take off in the flight simulator or sit in the cockpit of a real MAF aircraft. The large family area, excellent catering and live music all added to the atmosphere.

From 5 p.m. the site was already busy as the first participants collected their race numbers. After the official welcome at 6 p.m., MAF and its cooperation partner Medair offered fascinating behind-the-scenes insights before everyone turned to the highlight of the evening. At 8.30 p.m. sharp the starting gun went off – a spine-tingling moment as the runners set off along the floodlit runway.

The runners were cheered on by more than 500 family members, friends and supporters, who together raised more than 65,000 francs for life-saving medical flights.

On behalf of the whole MAF team and everyone who benefits from this work, we say a heartfelt THANK YOU to all involved!
