Deducting donations from your taxes

You can claim your donation to MAF Switzerland on your tax return. As a ZEWO-certified aid organisation we are recognised for tax purposes – which means you can deduct your gift from your taxable income.

Exactly how much is deductible depends on your canton of residence and federal rules. The provisions vary, but in most cases you will notice the benefit. We automatically issue you a donation receipt that you can submit with your tax return.

Every franc raised counts

Your campaign connects people with the world

People without access to usable roads are considerably poorer than those who have it. Around 900 million people in the global South live more than two kilometres from a road that can be used all year round. Together with you, we give these people a connection to the world and with it a way out of poverty:

Short term: saving lives

We fly to where medical help is needed and deliver essentials such as food, sanitation and tools. We respond quickly to natural disasters worldwide and promote protection against diseases such as HIV/AIDS.

Medium term: securing basic services

We strengthen basic services in health, education and nutrition. Hygiene, health and emergency systems are expanded. We also support the development of local agriculture with specialist staff.

Long term: lasting self-sufficiency

We want to improve life in remote regions for good: secure food, stable income and access to education strengthen communities' self-sufficiency in the long term, and that is our goal.
