You can claim your donation to MAF Switzerland on your tax return. As a ZEWO-certified charity we are recognised for tax purposes – which means you can deduct your gift from your taxable income.
Exactly how much is deductible depends on your canton of residence and federal rules. The regulations vary, but in most cases the benefit is noticeable. We issue you a donation receipt automatically, which you can submit with your tax return.

Legacy gift
A legacy is a testamentary gift with which you can support MAF even after your death. You can leave us a sum of money, securities or part of your estate. As a charitable organisation we are exempt from inheritance tax, so your gift reaches the people cut off from the world in full.

Funding partnerships
How MAF is funded
MAF depends on people who believe in our mission. Most of our work is funded by donations, above all from private individuals, but increasingly also from partners such as foundations and companies. Added to this are contributions from relief organisations on the ground, which help fund our flights at preferential rates. And since January 2025 we have been proud to be supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) as well.
